Psychedelic fish found in Ambon

A new type of frogfish has been identified after being spotted by divers off Ambon in Indonesia. It is covered in swirling, concentric white and blue lines on a peach background. The lines radiate out from its aqua-coloured eyes. Scientists have dubbed it the psychedelica frogfish.

It was actually first discovered 20 years ago, but was mis-labelled. However around a year ago divers spotted one and were unable to identify it. So they sent photographs to a frogfish expert at the University of Washington.
